What I like: I like taking candid and embarrassing pictures of sisters because it captures them being “real” and not posed. I like singing in the car on a rainy day, reading romance novels, watching korean dramas, dancing like crazy when no one is in the room, imitating people when I’m bored, googling anything I have a question about, cooking for people, posting blogs on my Tumblr, and just chillin’ with the people I love.
What I do: I am currently co-external vice president for the Chinese American Student Association for the 2011-2012 school year.
Why I joined aKDPhi: This sounds so cliché, but I wanted a home away from home. I wanted a family that I never got to have and people that I could depend on. When I tell people I joined because of the sisterhood, I’m not lying. Staying strong and being independent is great and all, but it gets really hard. The love and support that I saw between the sisters from recruitment week made me realize that this was exactly what I was looking for. There are a handful of sororites on campus, but I chose aKDPhi because it had everything I’d been looking for when I wasn’t even looking.
