What is Recruitment?
Recruitment week(s) is a time in which active sisters and potential members have the opportunity to become better acquainted. The activities are geared toward not only getting to know the sisters but what alpha Kappa Delta Phi represents. We simply ask that you to come prepared with an open mind and heart, and to be yourself.
Is it mandatory to attend all recruitment events?
If you are serious about joining aKDPhi, you are definitely encouraged to attend all recruitment events from beginning to end. Again, this is a chance to ask questions, get to know the sisters, and for them to get to know you. The more events you participate in, the better both parties are able to determine whether this sorority fits you. We do require potential members to attend at least one informational and two events. This is to ensure that interested girls understand what aKDPhi stands for, what you can bring to the sorority, and what it can give you.
Do I have to be Asian to join?
No. We are an Asian American interest sorority that focuses on the promotion of Asian cultural awareness. We, the sisters of aKDPhi, pride ourselves on building strong and lasting friendships with girls from diverse backgrounds.
GPA Requirements
We do require that all members maintain an overall GPA of at least 2.85.
